Mallorca BJJ and Yoga Festival - My Experience

If you ever wanted to combine vacation, Yoga and BJJ I found the right event for you. This past spring I visited the Mallorca BJJ and Yoga Festival in Spain, where you can train with high level BJJ instructors, do several Yoga classes each day and enjoy vacation time with a bunch of other cool activities.
Teaching Mobility for BJJ Athletes
This camp has been the fifth time that I joined! Usually I start my day with a Morning Cacao Ceremony before the sun goes up followed by one of the Sunrise Yoga Classes. I was lucky enough to be able to teach a few Yoga and Mobility Classes myself and enjoy the rest of the camp.
After the morning Yoga it`s time for breakfast at the pool. They have vegan options as well. Right after breakfast it is time for my first BJJ lesson of the day, This year the headlining coach was ADCC veteran Rafael Lovato Jr. His classes were amazing and the things he taught I am still using in my rolls to this day! I even had the chance for a round of rolling with him. It went as you would expect. A hobbyist freshly promoted purple belt vs a guy who has fought the best of the best. I couldnt do much besides laying in bottom mount trying to not get choked out in 20 seconds. But it was a fun roll and a great learning experience.

In the afternoon I usually just relax and eat something at the hotel bar, go to the pool or beach and enjoy the sun. There are so many fun activities besides the BJJ and Yoga classes, sometimes it is hard to choose where to go next, but you can`t go wrong with any of the offered classes. If you want to try free diving, get lessons in Salsa and Bachata or just want to join a Meditation, they have it all.
I usually try to do one Yoga Class, 2 to 3 BJJ classes and whatever I am interested in. But also keep some free time in the afternoon to enjoy the amazing location.
